Kart Kingdom Racing was a feature of Kart Kingdom that was added in the May 2018 Update. It was labeled as "Kart Kingdom Racing", but several items in the game had a "KRT" logo instead. It wasn't really clear what it stood for until the Kart Kingdom Art Book was released on September 30, 2020, and clarified that it stood for "Kingdom Racing Team" (referring to Billy, Janey, and Davey). It was launched on May 7, 2018. It was considered to be the "desert area" everyone was waiting for, because it took place in the desert, but it was not a full area.
In the Kart Kingdom Art Book, it was revealed that the KRT Truck transformed to show the racetrack entrances, and that the KRT usually traveled around the Kingdom and held races to attract racers, but they liked "our part of the Kingdom" so much that they decided to stay.
The theme music of the race room was a remix of Mount Snow's theme.
On May 15, 2021, the racing feature was revived in a spin-off of Kart Kingdom, simply called Kart Kingdom Racing, which is only available on the PBS KIDS Games app.
